By accessing or using Budget With Purpose ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.
These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and FOCUS Technologies LLC ("Company," "we," "us," or "our"), the operator of Budget With Purpose. By creating an account or using the Service, you confirm that you are at least 18 years of age and have the legal capacity to enter into this agreement.
Budget With Purpose is a personal finance and budgeting application that allows users to track income, expenses, bills, and debt obligations on a calendar-based interface. The Service is provided for personal, non-commercial use only.
The Service is provided "as is" and is intended for informational and organizational purposes only. Budget With Purpose is not a financial advisor, bank, or financial institution. Nothing in the Service constitutes financial, investment, legal, or tax advice. You are solely responsible for all financial decisions you make.
To use the Service you must create an account using a valid email address or through an approved third-party SSO provider (Google or Microsoft). You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.
You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to keep your account information updated. You may not create accounts for others without their consent or create multiple accounts to circumvent restrictions.
You must notify us immediately at support@budgetwithpurpose.com if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.
Budget With Purpose offers a free tier and paid Pro subscription plans. Paid plans are billed on a monthly or annual basis as selected at checkout.
All payments are processed by Stripe. By subscribing to a paid plan you authorize us to charge your payment method on a recurring basis until you cancel.
Cancellation: You may cancel your subscription at any time through the customer portal accessible from your account. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. We do not provide refunds for partial billing periods except where required by law.
Price changes: We reserve the right to change subscription pricing with at least 30 days advance notice to existing subscribers. Continued use of the Service after the price change takes effect constitutes acceptance of the new pricing.
Failed payments: If a payment fails, we will attempt to retry the charge. If payment cannot be collected, your account may be downgraded to the free tier until payment is resolved.
Budget With Purpose offers a free tier with limited features as described on our pricing page. The free tier is provided at our discretion and we reserve the right to modify or discontinue free tier features with reasonable notice.
The free tier may include advertising in the future. We will notify free tier users at least 30 days before introducing advertising and will always provide a path to upgrade to an ad-free Pro plan.
You agree not to use Budget With Purpose to:
- Violate any applicable law or regulation - Impersonate any person or entity or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity - Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service or its related systems - Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service - Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the Service - Use the Service for any commercial purpose without our express written consent - Upload or transmit malicious code, viruses, or any other harmful software - Harvest or collect user data from the Service
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms without prior notice.
You retain full ownership of all financial data you enter into Budget With Purpose. We do not claim any ownership rights over your data.
By using the Service you grant us a limited license to store, process, and display your data solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you. This license terminates when you delete your account.
You are responsible for the accuracy of the data you enter. Budget With Purpose displays information based on what you provide and does not independently verify the accuracy of your financial data.

Budget With Purpose and all of its content, features, and functionality — including but not limited to the software, design, text, graphics, logos, and icons — are owned by FOCUS Technologies LLC and are protected by United States and international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of the Service without our express written permission.
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or completely secure. We do not warrant the accuracy, completeness, or usefulness of any information provided through the Service.
BUDGET WITH PURPOSE IS NOT A FINANCIAL ADVISOR. THE SERVICE IS A BUDGETING TOOL ONLY. ALL FINANCIAL DECISIONS ARE YOUR SOLE RESPONSIBILITY. WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR ANY FINANCIAL LOSSES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF OR RELIANCE ON THE SERVICE.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, FOCUS TECHNOLOGIES LLC SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, USE, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.
IN NO EVENT SHALL OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ALL CLAIMS ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO THE SERVICE EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO US IN THE TWELVE MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($100), WHICHEVER IS GREATER.
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties or limitation of liability, so some of the above limitations may not apply to you.
You may terminate your account at any time by deleting your account from the settings page or by contacting us at support@budgetwithpurpose.com.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time for any reason, including but not limited to violation of these Terms, without prior notice or liability. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately.
Upon account deletion or termination, your data will be permanently deleted within 30 days in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of New Jersey, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
Any disputes arising from or relating to these Terms or the Service shall be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in New Jersey, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of such courts.
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. When we make material changes, we will notify you by email and by posting a notice in the application at least 14 days before the changes take effect.
Your continued use of the Service after the effective date of the updated Terms constitutes your acceptance of the changes. If you do not agree to the updated Terms, you must stop using the Service and may delete your account.
